5 Things We Do to Keep From Going Lockdown Crazy

We are almost in the middle of the month in which the summer heat peaks. Only two days ago, while the maximum temperature was at 36ºC, the reading also stated that it 'feels like 44ºC'. It makes me glad we are at home, in doors, safe, away from the direct heat of the sun, cocooned in the shade of drawn curtains and running air conditioners. There is, of course, the occasional headache and nosebleed, but nothing that a few litres of water down the gullet cannot take care of.  In the mean time, is the near two-month lockdown driving the family crazy as yet? I am so glad to tell you: No, it isn't.  As a family we have a routine going that keeps us all on track and sane as well. 5 Things to Do to Pick Up a Good Skill During Lockdown

We each have hobbies or skills we are trying to work at and develop during these days of lockdown. Personally, I am grateful for this time. For years I've been dreaming of being an artist. I've seen myself whip out my trusty sketchbook and pencil, and after I was done sketching, splash a lot of colour onto the page, and voila! - in seconds I have a master piece! I am still a long way off from doing that. Right now I have to work a great deal on the skill of 'patience', the skills of 'hard work and practice' and the skill of telling my brain over and over again: Instant is not always good, Creature! The Husband is, as usual, passionate about his violin; and The Fairies are busy picking up piano skills aided by The Husband with occasional two-paise inputs from this Creature.
